So, you’re going on vacation!  We all love when the date comes – but let’s remember to keep in mind safety and how it’s important to prioritize your safety to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip.

How about a few vacations safety tips to consider before you leave:

  • Research your destination: Before you leave on your trip, take some time to familiarize yourself with your destination. Learn about the local laws, customs, and any potential safety concerns. Are there any travel advisories issued?
  • Secure your accommodations: Choose reputable hotels or accommodations that prioritize safety and security. Read reviews and check for safety features such as well-lit entrances, secure locks, and 24-hour front desk service.
  • Stay connected: Keep important contact information handy, including emergency numbers for local authorities, your hotel, and your embassy or consulate. Remember to share your itinerary and contact details with a trusted friend or family member.
  • Do you need any travel insurance: Consider purchasing travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and lost belongings. Review the policy to understand what is covered and keep a copy of the insurance documents with you.
