Blog Post - Congratulations Paul D. Williams – ASD Alumni Award Winner

Our own Business Development Executive Paul D. Williams was recently awarded by the Allentown School District the “You are the Light” Alumni Award. Paul is a proud 1979 William Allen High School alum and was recognized for his dedication to the school and the district at the January celebration where students, faculty and administrators were recognized for their contributions to their schools and district.  The celebration was held at Paul’s Alma Mater, William Allen High School, and was attended by over 300 family, friends, and guests.

In 2022, Paul started the William Allen Entrepreneurial Series.  This is a program that brings local professionals, business owners and leaders from the Lehigh Valley into WAHS to meet with the students and share their personal journeys, career paths and words of wisdom with the goal to shed light on the numerous opportunities that are available for careers.  This has been done with the help of many local business professionals, and several great staff members at AHS. This program is open for all students to participate from 9th grade thru 12th.

Since inception, the series has had over 250 students participate to listen, learn, and ask great questions to the panel to hopefully identify career opportunities for their futures.  More than 30 business owners and professionals from the Lehigh Valley have participated in sharing their stories and career paths for the students to learn from.

Paul is also very proud to serve on the Allentown School District Strategic Steering Committee, as well as attends many ASD Board meetings looking for opportunities to help the district.

He also gives back to the community by serving on the Allentown Chamber of Commerce Board, Small Business Council Board, Easton Chamber of Commerce Board, Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Board, Cetronia Ambulance Board of Trustees, and has participated on the Notre Dame Admissions and Marketing committee.

Paul enjoys giving back to our community in many ways and will continue to use his skills and knowledge to further help our future student leaders grow.

He is father of two daughters who live in Austin, Texas, married to wife Deirdre for 33 years, who will be retiring from Easton Area School District’s March Elementary School as a Kindergarten Teacher the end of this school year.

Paul is proud to be a lifelong Canary where, “It’s always a great day to be a Canary”!
